About Me

Alison Bakke working on her flower farm in Minnesota, USA

Hi, I’m Alison. I launched Wildly Grounded in 2019 with a fierce devotion to creating—and a dial turned all the way up. Like Nigel’s amplifier in Spinal Tap, I go to an eleven.

Art has always called to me. But never did I imagine that flowers would become my medium. And yet, here I am—rooted in soil, reshaping how I see, feel, and create. My work pushes me to dissolve the line between art and nature, to treat stems as structure, and the garden as gallery.

I’m as passionate about growing as I am about creating. The cultivation and the composition are inseparable—each one deepens the other. I don’t just grow and arrange flowers; my practice is deeply grounded in care and designed to honor impermanence. I believe in the power of seasonal rhythm and storytelling.

Wildly Grounded is more than a botanical studio. It’s a place where I experience nature as a momentary work of art, and try to hold, just for a breath, that temporary beauty so others can experience it too.
